Greetings from Indira Gandhi National Open University, Regional Centre, Cochin!
IGNOU is a National Open University established by an Act of Parliament in 1985 (Act No.50
of 1985). IGNOU Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates are recognized by all the member institutions
of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and are at par with Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates
of all Indian Universities/Deemed Universities/Institutions. The Indira Gandhi National Open
University (IGNOU), Regional Centre, Kaloor, Cochin invite proposals from reputed hospitals for
the purpose of empanelment for providing quality medical services to the university employees
working at its Regional Centre, Cochin. In this regard, it is requested to submit the proposal in
the prescribed registration form enclosed with this letter. Other information relating to the facilities
available in the Hospital and the schedule of charges for various procedures & treatments/tests,
medicines, room rent etc alongwith your proposal and discount offered on tests/consultations/treatments.
The University will enter into an agreement with the hospital for empanelment after due process
of assessment and inspection. After the empanelment is finalized by the university, the MOU
will be signed between university and the hospital. The university reserves its right to select or
reject the proposal for empanelment. Once the MoU is signed, it will remain in force for a
period of two years and same can be renewed after mutual consent. For your kind information,
the IGNOU Regional Centre, Cochin has more than 20 employee families (on an average 60-80
persons) mostly residing in Ernakulam. Knowing the best facilities and infrastructure available,
