Dr S Vijayaragavan Assistant Regional Director has Completed his M.Sc, Marine Biology, M.Phil., in Marine Biology. PhD Zoology-Marine Biology Degree from University of Madras. MA in Distance Education and PG Diploma in Distance Education.

He joined as Assistant Regional Director at IGNOU Regional Centre Raghunathganj in 2011 and also worked Two year at IGNOU Regional Centre Bijapur as Assistant Regional Director.

He worked as Regional Director I/c at IGNOU Regional Centre Port Blair for three years and received Governor Commendation certificate for IGNOU for better Educational service at Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

He has published book and Research articles in the field of Environmental Toxicology and Embryology.
